Facebook page. Since 1985 Geneva-on-the-Lake Spencerian Calligraphy has been taught. Cursive writing lessons are held every Tuesday at 1 p.m. for adults and 3 p.m. for the Geneva School students at the Geneva Public Library. Platt R. Spencer legacy speeches and programs are available for groups. Our goal is to return cursive writing in public schools. Also, to restore 1830 Platt R. Spencer’s home located at 3953 North Myers Road, Geneva, for historic value. He purchased the farm in 1845 and moved in 1848.
